2 Day Beginners Basketry Skills Workshop 

This 2 day skills workshop is suitable for complete beginners and those who want to consolidtate the basic skills. You will make 2 round baskets, learning the basic skills needed to get you started on your basket making journey. All materials, a copy of Willow Basketry by Jonathan Ridgeon for you to take home and use of tools, tea & cake included. These courses are subsidised by the Northumbria Basketry Group. Min 4 / Max 6 places (if possible give multiple dates)  £100

2 Day Log/Laundry Basket 

Working with larger willow much easier with some previous basketry experience. In this 2 day workshop you will make a basket suitable for logs/laundry. Max 5 places £130

A morning of afternoon making platters or shallow dishes. Ideal for beginners, they make great Christmas Presents.

£35/person includes all materials, coffee/tea and cake.

As well as running workshops at other venues e.g. Gallery 45 we also offer workshops from our studio at Willowdene House, Longframlington.

Workshops can last anything from a few hours to a few days.

We like to teach you what you want to learn but if you are a complete beginner and have no idea of what might be possible here are some ideas of workshops to spark your imagination.

Spinning

More relaxing than sitting on a bicycle in the gym, the original spinning is the art of turning fibres into yarn, with a stick, drop spindle or wheel.
